Monarch Memo
October 9-13, 2017
Home Sweet Homecoming. It was a fun-filled and memorable week. Thank you for supporting the KUSI Pep Rally coverage that allowed our community to see our student spirit and pride both inside and outside of the classroom. It was great to see so many staff members at the rally so early Friday morning. Leisa Petrie and the ASB were the heart (and hard-work) of the coordination of all the activities this week. They worked tirelessly late each day and on the weekends to prepare for the rally, mid-way sales, Homecoming court events, half-time and finally the dance. It all could not come together without all of our staff and parents members who hosted booths, sold tickets, set- up, supervised, you name it. It was great to see the collective efforts of all. We are blessed to have such a dedicated staff who put students first. Thank you everyone and a special thank you to Leisa and the ASB for an amazing week.
Congratulations to Brittany and Jonathan Meyer on the arrival of their son on September 30, 2017, Hudson Paul Meyer. Baby and new parents are doing great.
FAMILY SURVEYS - Period 3 teachers distribute this week.
It was shared at Site Governance last Monday that we are still missing about 400 family surveys. It is so important that we get these back because our Title I and other funds depend on this. Period 3 teachers, we want to thank you in advance for sending out round two of family surveys to students who still have not returned them. These will be in your mailboxes this week. Most teachers will have anywhere from 2-5 students to distribute these to. They are due October 13th to the district so please get them into Denise as soon as you receive them. Thank you again.

Thank you to all of the Monarch families who came out to the game Friday night to join the festivities and students who attended the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night. We appreciate all the contributions of our parents, students, club advisors and especially ASB for a memorable Homecoming Week.

Digital Lesson Design
Digital lessons can enhance your curriculum by bringing in a wide array of web-based resources and tools. Like any lesson, the instructional design of digital lessons must be deliberate and thoughtful. In addition to the instructional design, educators need to focus on visual design and their digital packaging.
